PA / AL / PE Good flexibility and puncture resistance Vacuum-packed foods, meat, seafood

What Are the Advantages of Our Aluminum Foil Food Bags?

High Barrier Performance for a Longer Food Shelf Life

Our aluminum foil food bags have an oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of ≤0.5 cc/(m²·day) and a water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) of ≤0.1 g/(m²·day). They also provide 100% light blocking, helping preserve the food’s original flavor and extend its shelf life.

High Stiffness for Better Shelf Presentation

The outer layer can be made of PET or BOPP, providing sufficient stiffness to help the packaging maintain its shape without collapsing and achieve a better shelf display. Stiffness: PET > BOPP.

Suitable for Hot Filling and Retort Processing

Our heat-resistant aluminum foil food bags are available in PET / AL / CPP and PET / AL / RCPP laminate structures.

Material Structure Typical Product Processing Temperature Primary Applications
PET / AL / CPP Typically approx. 85–95°C Hot filling and some pasteurization processes
PET / AL / RCPP Typically 121°C; high-temperature grades can reach 135°C High-temperature retort sterilization

Powdered Foods

Examples include ground coffee, protein powder, and spices.

To ensure reliable resealing for powdered food packaging, our aluminum foil bags can be equipped with contaminant-resistant zippers, which help prevent powder from affecting the seal and thereby help maintain food quality.

Meat, Fish, and Other Bone-In Foods

Examples include chicken, seafood, and steak.

For meat, fish, and other bone-in foods, a PA (or NY) layer can be added to our aluminum foil bags to improve puncture resistance, flex-crack resistance, and impact resistance. The inner layer can also use a plastomer-modified PE sealant film. When small amounts of blood, grease, or moisture are present in the sealing area, this sealant layer can still form a relatively reliable seal, reducing the risk of weak seals, slow leaks, and leakage.
