Advantages of Aluminium Foil Zip Lock Bags
Compared with kraft paper zipper bags or standard polyester film zipper bags, zipper bags containing an AL foil layer provide significantly better barriers against oxygen, moisture, and light. The aluminium foil layer effectively reduces the effects of oxygen, water vapor, and light on food, helping preserve the product’s original flavor, aroma, color, and texture while slowing moisture absorption, oxidation, and quality deterioration. For coffee, milk powder, seasoning powders, nuts, meat products, and other foods with demanding storage requirements, these resealable foil bags generally provide more reliable shelf-life protection.
In addition, aluminium foil zip lock bags generally accommodate a wider range of products than kraft paper zipper bags. Kraft paper zipper bags are better suited to dry products with low moisture content. For foods containing moisture, oils, or liquid ingredients, if the material structure, adhesive, or sealant layer is not selected properly, moisture and oils may gradually affect the bond strength between the paper layer and the laminated materials, increasing the risk of blistering, delamination, or seal failure.
Aluminium foil zip lock bags do not rely on paper as the primary outer substrate and can be combined with PE, CPP, or RCPP sealant layers according to the product’s characteristics. With a properly designed material structure and lamination process, they generally offer better adaptability to moisture, oils, and complex storage conditions. They can be used for dry foods, oily foods, moist foods, and certain products that require hot filling, pasteurization, or high-temperature retort processing.
